Visual PFD

Visual PFD ‘Process Flow Diagram’ app provides an efficient solution to create your process flow diagram, and is dynamically linked to other Visual applications.

The Visual PFD Application standardizes your approach to creating the 'Process Flow Diagram, Chart or Map'. You and your team can efficiently enter the Identified Process Operations from start to finish. You can then breakdown these basic process operations into more detail with process Steps and apply the applicable Visual Symbol describing that step (Operation, Transport, Inspection, Storage, Delay).

Most users produce Process Flow Diagrams inside Microsoft applications, (for example PowerPoint, Excel) or other similar spreadsheet applications. Whilst this is good for the presentation of a Process Flow, it is not the best method for creating and analyzing. For those of you that can relate to the use of Spreadsheets, you will understand how difficult the true creation and use of a Process Flow becomes. For example, there are no direct links to any other software applications, sometimes cell merging is required, inserting rows, arrow lines or repeated copy and paste etc. Visual PFD has been designed with the user in mind at all times. The user interface for creating the Process Flow visually displays relationships as 'Branches', ensuring the user focus is on the 'Process'.

How Visual PFD Works

The Visual PFD Application standardizes your approach to creating the 'Process Flow Diagram'. You and your team can efficiently enter the Identified Process Operations from start to finish. You can then breakdown these basic process operations into more detail with process Steps and apply the applicable Visual Symbol describing that step (Operation, Transport, Inspection, Storage, Delay) and many more that are customisable by the user.

At this stage, when identifying the Process Step, the Visual PFD allows you to define more advanced data entry for fields such as Fixtures, Tooling, Work Instructions, Inspection Instructions and Packaging Instructions.

The level of detail you go to is entirely up to you, but once the steps described above have been completed, you are able to present the data in any Microsoft excel workbook with your own design of Process Flow and layout of content.
